Barrier Repair Routine
Best for: sore, inflamed skin or skin that feels dry/tight but still gets oily during the day.
Products:
- Restore My Skin Cleanser
- Restore My Skin Moisturiser
- Superfood Nourish Oil
- Repair+ Niacin
Why this routine:
When we strip away too much of our skin’s natural oils, it might feel dry, tight, and sensitive at first. But soon after, the skin starts producing more oil to try and protect itself. This is why you can feel both dry and oily at the same time, and why congestion often returns.
The Barrier Repair Routine is designed to stop that cycle. It focuses on calming, soothing, and rebuilding strength in your skin. It may take a little longer to see changes in breakouts, but restoring the barrier first is the foundation for achieving long-term healthy skin.
Clear & Balance Routine
Best for: blackheads, congestion, and smaller recurring breakouts.
Products:
- Hydration Gel Cleanser
- Repair+ Niacin
- Superfood Nourish Oil
- Restore My Skin Moisturiser or Second Skin BB Cream / Brightening & Corrective SPF+ Peptides
Why this routine:
This routine supports clear skin while keeping the barrier strong. The Hydration Gel Cleanser is gentle but contains a natural lactic acid that helps prevent congestion and regulates oil flow.
The focus here is balance: keeping pores clear and oil flow steady without stripping your natural protection. With consistent use, this routine helps maintain clarity and prevent future congestion.
Transition Routine:
If your skin is highly sensitive, tight, or reactive, start with the Barrier Repair Routine. Once your skin feels calmer and more resilient, you can move into the Clear & Balance Routine to target long-term congestion.
Still unsure?
These are the same questions I ask clients in clinic to narrow things down:
- How does your skin feel after cleansing? Tight, dry, comfortable, or oily?
- By the end of the day, is your skin oily or balanced?
- Do you notice more redness or more congestion?
- Are you currently using any skin medications (such as Roaccutane or antibiotics)?
Send me your answers and I’ll guide you to the routine that’s right for you.
